West Bromwich Albion midfielder George Thorne is determined to make the most of his loan at Derby County.
Thorne recently made his debut for the Championship outfit.
"I've had to wait a little while to make my debut but you have to be patient sometimes in football," said the 21-year-old midfielder.
"The team had been playing well, especially in midfield, so I've had to wait my turn. I enjoyed making my debut and I hope I've done enough to keep my place.
"I want to play as much as I can and John Eustace being out is an opportunity for me to show what I can do.
"He has kept me out of the side and we are vying for promotion so competition should be strong across all areas."
