West Bromwich Albion have suffered a blow in their hopes of appointing a new manager.
The Baggies approached veteran Englishman Roy Hodgson, who recently departed from Crystal Palace, about the vacant position.
However, Football Insider is reporting that Hodgson has rejected the Baggies, with the 73-year-old not interested in the job.
Albion have previously been linked with former Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, but he is also out of the running.
The source claims Lincoln City boss Michael Appleton is the new favorite to take over.
