West Brom are seeking a deal for Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez.

The Telegraph says Baggies boss Tony Pulis has launched an offer for Rodriguez.

Pulis is looking to add strength to his depleted squad and wants to land the 27-year-old on an initial loan deal.

Rodriguez, who came on for the final six minutes in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester United, has barely featured for the Saints since picking up a serious knee injury in April 2014.

He started just three league matches last season but was once in the reckoning for an England call after bagging 15 league goals in the 2013/14 campaign.
