West Brom boss Tony Pulis was happy with debutant Brendan Galloway in their EFL Cup defeat to Northampton.
Pulis refused to criticise his players, and he praised new Everton loanee Galloway, 18-year-old Sam Field, and 16-year-old Kane Wilson, all of whom made their senior debuts for the club.
"They're fit lads, they're a good group of lads and I'll never criticise them," he said. "They've worked really hard tonight.
"There were some really great debuts, I thought Brendan did well at left-back. He showed great promise, wants to get forward, got a great left foot.
"I thought Sam Field in midfield was exceptional for his debut. When Kane came on he showed some promise and that's the bonus for us."
