West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis remains nervous over Saido Berahino's commitment.
Liverpool are interested in England hopeful Berahino - Albion's 14-goal top scorer this season.
Pulis said: "We would love to keep him, but you never know what is around the corner.
"If the squad wasn't strong enough, it would be very difficult to say yes but you still might take a chance. You have to make sure you are strong in your convictions.
"The most important thing is to believe if he was going to stay he was going to do it for you or if someone had come in and got into the kid and it affected the kid that much, you have to look at it with an open view."
