West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine is standing by goal-shy striker Brown Ideye.
Ideye has just one Capital One Cup goal against Hull to his name, from six starts and three substitute appearances but the head coach refuses to judge him until he gets more game time.
Asked if the price tag was hindering the striker, Irvine replied: "I don't think so.
"I think it's just been the circumstances really. The price tag's been an extra stick to beat him with really at times when things were difficult for him.
"I don't think he's really over concerned about that. He just wants to get out and play well.
"That was his first time back last week. I'm not concerned. I think it's impossible to judge him in terms of a goals record until he's played some more games for us."
