West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is chasing Chelsea striker Danny Sturridge.
The Sunday Mercury says Hodgson is keen to boost the Baggies firepower and is considering a loan move for the highly-rated Chelsea man.
Ironically, the Birmingham-born 21-year-old was pursued by Hodgson's predecessor Roberto Di Matteo during the January transfer window but went on to join Bolton on loan, where he scored eight goals in 12 outings.
Sturridge is keen to stay at Chelsea but might find first-team chances hard to come by with Nicolas Anelka, Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres all available to new boss Andre Villas-Boas.
