West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson has denied claims of a massive pay-out from Liverpool.
Hodgson has laughed off claims he was paid £7.3million when sacked by Liverpool and insists he has come to West Brom for the challenge not cash.
Hodgson insisted: "What drives me is my love of the game, and my pride in my professionalism and being part of the game and desire to carry on.
"As far as I know, the only people who know anything about the details of any agreement I reached with Liverpool Football Club are Liverpool Football Club and myself.
"I certainly never breathed a word to anybody about what happened at the end and what arrangement I reached with them and I would be very surprised if Liverpool said anything."
