West Bromwich Albion boss Roberto di Matteo says matching Sir Alex Ferguson's 24 years at Manchester United is a non-starter.
Di Matteo measures his expectations in months rather than decades!
He said: "Can I see myself managing in 25 years' time? I hope to be managing next season, never mind at his age!
"There's been another two dismissals this week. It's more or less like every year is a bonus now, that's if you can even think in years.
"You live or die by results. Times have changed. Once upon a time you got more time, but not now.
"If it is a three-year plan but things aren't going well after six months, it is completely overhauled.
"You try to do your best, but you can't drive yourself crazy. We need to win matches and all the rest is just a consequence.
"I work to a yearly plan - and this year's plan is to stay in the Premier League."
