Werder Bremen management are pleased with the progress of on-loan Manchester United winger Tahith Chong.
Clemen Fritz, head of professional football and scouting at the German side, believes he has been getting better in a different aspect of his play.
Speaking to Weser-Courier, the chief said: “ Don't forget that he's a young player. We should give him a little time.
“He is dangerous because of his speed and his one-on-one behaviour, which is incredibly valuable to us is. We see a development there [defensively]. It's going in the right direction."
The Bremen chief also gave an update on Chong's future as the sides had negotiated over a two-year loan spell.
When asked if talks had been held between the clubs over a longer deal, Fritz added: “It's too early for that."
