Werder Bremen defender Per Mertesacker is on his way to Arsenal.
talkSPORT says Werder have accepted a €9 million offer from Arsenal for the defender, who is currently undergoing a Gunners medical.
Mertesacker, 26, claimed last week he wanted to remain with the Bundesliga side for another season but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has convinced him to make the switch to north London.
