Arsene Wenger has warned Liverpool to not use Jurgen Klopp to find his own successor.

The legendary former Arsenal coach has looked at how other clubs have failed to handle such successions.

Manchester United would be a notable example, where Sir Alex Ferguson helped the club hire David Moyes as his replacement in 2013.

“No, no," Wenger told beIN Sports when asked if Klopp's advice should be sought.

"I don't think so unless he becomes officially appointed by Liverpool as an advisor.

"You do your job and you let other people do their jobs.

“I think organizations work well when that is the case. Everybody does what they are responsible for. At least you know when it doesn't work, who to speak to."
