Wenger taunts Spurs: You're sure to lose your stars

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says Tottenham are facing a player exodus over their strict wage policy.

Tottenham have a strict wage structure capped at £100,000-per-week basic pay.

Wenger warned Spurs: "For a longer time, if the budget is too much difference it's impossible. The best players at some stage, when you get to a level, they want to be paid like the other players at that level. If the differential is too big, you're never able to keep your best players."

Wenger also believes that, as players start demanding higher wages, the club's budget will only get tighter as Spurs move stadium.

"It's very difficult — much more than you can imagine," he said.

"First of all, you face financial restrictions, which we did. Overall, it might be less in future because you have more income.

"Secondly, because you don't feel at home like you were before. And you need to recreate a kind of history to feel comfortable and to feel like you play at home."
