Arsenal's thrashing by Tottenham last week hasn't shaken the belief manager Arsene Wenger has in his young players.

He said: "We have been slaughtered because we lost, but overall the team did very well in the Carling Cup.

"We decided at the start of the season to use this competition to give them experience - and overall instead of being congratulated they have been slaughtered. But it is the learning process of being in a big club."
