Wenger: Current Arsenal squad my best ever

Arsene Wenger rates his current Arsenal squad the best he's had in his time at the club. That is a bold claim for a man who has won three Premier League titles and four FA Cups, claiming the 'double' on two occasions and guiding his 2003/04 team through an unbeaten league campaign.

But Wenger insists that the class of 2010 has more depth, citing the number of world-class performers he will have to leave out when everyone is available.

"Number-wise we are not short because I have to leave players out of the squad that deserve to be in there when everyone is fit," Wenger told arsenal.com.

"If you look at the players who are not in there [against Tottenham on Saturday], plus [injured duo] Diaby and Vermaelen, we have too big a squad.

"Certainly [it is my strongest squad]," he went on. "We have had Rosicky, Bendtner and Van Persie out for a long time, when everyone is fit it will be difficult to keep everyone happy.

"But with the number of games we play I can rotate naturally."
