Andreas Weimann looks to be sidelined for a couple of weeks after sustaining a hip injury in one of Aston Villa's pre-season friendlies.
The 21-year old Austrian striker suffered the problem against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday and manager Paul Lambert expects him to miss a small portion of the next phase of preparations for the 2013/14 Premier League campaign.
"He's got a sore one, so I need to see how that goes. It's a sore back and a sore hip," manager Paul Lambert told the Birmingham Mail.
"Hopefully he'll be okay in - I don't know how long - in the next few weeks or so."
