Brighton defender Adam Webster insists they can handle Chelsea tonight.
Webster says a much-needed win over Brentford has put plenty of wind in Albion's sails heading to Stamford Bridge tonight.
“We know how good Chelsea are, they had a good win on Boxing Day and they've got one of the best squads in the league, probably in the top three in the Premier League," the 26-year-old told the club's website.
"Last year we went toe-to-toe with them at Stamford bridge and could have beaten them. The win over Brentford has given us confidence going into the Chelsea match, we want to give it a real go."
The win over the Bees lifted Albion up to ninth in the Premier League and marked a first win in 12 matches.
“We had such a good start, it's been frustrating to have not kicked on. But you're going to have times in the season where you're going to be struggling to get results and that's always going to happen in the Premier League," added Webster.
“We want to try and make the top ten and the win over Brentford has pushed us in the right direction. We've got a tough game to come against Chelsea, but we're looking to get a result. We're capable of finishing in the top half."
