Andres Iniesta believes Barcelona deserved to beat Chelsea in the Champions League semi-final despite scrapping for a late goal that saw them go through to the final on away goals.

Iniesta, who scored the vital goal, said Barcelona deserved the win because of their hard work and was delighted to have been at the right place at the right time when he took his tie-winning shot.

"When you work hard like we did in London, you are always rewarded," Iniesta told Marca.

"This is for all the Barcelona fans.

"I could not dream of such goal and if I had tried it earlier in the game, then for sure it would have finished in the stands.

"I shot with all my soul and at the end of the day it was just perfect. I did not realise I had scored before the ball hit the net, the keeper almost saved it. I felt an immense happiness.

"Anyway it has been one of the most difficult moments of my life. But it proved fantastic work with a man down and after many fights and knocks."
