Duncan Watmore is set for a Sunderland call up for their clash with West Ham United.

The Daily Star says the 21-year-old is yet to make a senior start in almost two seasons at the Stadium of Light.

Watmore was plucked from non-league obscurity with Altrincham to become the first signing of Paolo Di Canio's ill-fated reign in May, 2013.

He has impressed for the under-21s this season, and he has been fast-tracked to train with the first team in Dick Advocaat's two sessions in charge this week.
