Watford striker Dodi Lukebakio was delighted to prove the matchwinner for Fortuna Dusseldorf on the weekend.

The on-loan attacker struck from the spot for the 2-1 win against Hoffenheim.

"I was sure I would convert," Lukebakio told BILD.

Veteran teammate Michael Rensing praised the Belgian: "He is ice cold. In training, he always practices with the goalkeepers his penalties.

"Luckily he was right this time."

Coach Friedhelm Funkel added: "When I saw how self-confident Dodi took the ball, I let him do it. Another shooter would not have occurred to me."
