Watford U21s go down as coaching life starts poorly for Kewell

Harry Kewell has had a tough start to life as Watford's U21 manager, with his young charges going down 3-0 to Maidenhead in a friendly on Tuesday.

Premier League side Watford recently announced they had appointed the 36-year-old as head of the club's youth side last week.

Kewell appears to have his work cut out for him, however, with the young Hornets unable to overturn a 1-0 half-time deficit to non-league Maidenhead.

The Australian icon spent more than a decade in England with Leeds United and Liverpool in a playing career that also saw him play professionally in Turkey, Qatar and Australia.
