Watford remain favourites to land IFK Gothenburg goalkeeper Pontus Dahlberg.

The 18 year-old Swede is being tracked by clubs across Europe ahead of the January market, including RB Leipzig, Arsenal and Napoli.

But it is Watford which have maintained negotiations with IFK about a deal for Dahlberg.

The Hornets are willing to pay £2.9m to sign the keeper - and could send him back to IFK next month on-loan to play out the season.

Dahlberg, at 18, is now a first-choice for Sweden's U21 team.
