Watford slap in bid for West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster

Watford have tabled an opening bid for West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster.

The Daily Mail says the Baggies have rejected a £1million bid from Watford for goalkeeper Foster.

The 35-year-old is due to be disciplined by West Brom, along with defender Craig Dawson, after refusing to join the club's training camp in Portugal on Tuesday.

Foster wants to leave following the club's relegation and has been frustrated at Albion's seemingly hardline stance over offers.

However, Watford's £1m bid is not regarded as a fair reflection of Foster's value and indeed was laughed out by Albion who had expected a much higher offer for a player who has also attracted attention from other clubs.
