Championship club Watford has released four senior players due to financial constraints.
The Hornets have told Rene Gilmartin, Tom James, Chez Isaac and Michael Bryan that they will not be offered new contracts with manager Sean Dyche insisting it is not due to performance.
"We've valued their contribution throughout this season. They've been part of a group that's always looking to improve.
"I'd like to wish them all well for their future in football.""The harsh realities of football are never far away, and for us it means we simply cannot retain every player on our staff, despite these lads having given everything to the club this year," he said.
