Watford loan Messi record-breaker Penaranda to Granada

Watford signing Adalberto Penaranda has been immediately sent back to Granada on loan.

The 18-year-old Venezuelan forward was signed by the Hornets on transfer deadline day for an undisclosed fee before being sent back to Granda where he has been on loan since signing with Udinese in the summer.

Earlier this season, Penaranda became the youngest-ever player at Granada when he debuted in November and is also the youngest non-Spanish player to score a brace in La Liga, breaking Lionel Messi's previous record.

Penaranda kicked off his career in his homeland with Deportivo La Guaira, for whom he featured close to 40 times, and has this season scored four goals and provided two assists in 13 appearances for Granada.
