Watford have expressed interest in Atalanta fullback Davide Zappacosta.
The Italy U21 international enjoyed a successful first Serie A campaign last season with Atalanta.
Zappacosta has been linked with Liverpool, Fiorentina and Napoli.
However, Sportitalia says Watford have also made contact with Atalanta for the defender.
Watford's owners, the Pozzo family, are also in control of Udinese.
