Interim Watford head coach Hayden Mullins is happy with the support he's received from the players this week.
The Hornets are continuing the search for a successor to Quique Sanchez Flores, who was the club's second manager to be sacked this season.
Under 23s coach Mullins has stepped in on a temporary basis, alongside Graham Stack, overseeing the first-team squad for the midweek defeat at Leicester.
Mullins said: "The support from the players is brilliant, but we are just trying to prepare for Crystal Palace. We need every player pulling in the same direction.
"Palace are a side in form, but we are going to try to start with a high tempo.
"We know we need to start fast. If we give the fans something to cheer about then they will be with us and we need them."
