Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd is determined to sign Fulham's Dutch reserve striker Collins John on loan for the rest of the season, whether the Marlon King deal goes through or not.

Boothroyd admitted John, 22, whose last Fulham start was over a year ago, has snubbed the chance to join Watford in the past but explains on the club's website: "It is just like when a woman says no to you. It makes you even more determined to get them."
