Watford boss Javi Gracia says Gerard Deulofeu and Abdoulaye Doucoure could make their Premier League opener against Brighton.
The duo, along with Nathaniel Chalobah, haven't featured throughout pre-season after suffering with injury throughout the summer.
Gracia, however, remains optimistic the players will be back in action sooner rather than later.
He said: “I do not know if they will be fit, but I think Doucoure will be ready and Gerard Maybe as well.
“Chalobah is training with the team as part of his development and we will see, but I am confident first game and if not the second one."
