Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores says he is not bothered by Emmanuel Adebayor's decision to sign with Crystal Palace, despite interest from the Hornets.

Adebayor revealed he had to use Google to find out more before signing with the Eagles, prompting a jilted Flores to say 'Players who sign for Watford already know all about us'.

"We sign players who want to play for Watford, who have a good feeling about coming here and want to be incorporated into our project," Flores said.

"The amazing thing is that we are now able to convince players who have won titles in Europe to come to Watford.

"It shows how much the club has grown in the last few years – and the players we sign know everything about Watford.

"They know about the owners, the project, the players, the staff, the fans – and when they decide to join Watford, they already know the conditions here are really good.

"They even know how many people live in Watford, how many people our stadium holds and our history.

"It's great news for us because when amazing players come here it shows Watford is expanding."
