Watford defender Younes Kaboul says Troy Deeney deserves an England call.

Deeney missed out on Gareth Southgate's first squad this week.

Kaboul told the Watford Observer: “Of course when you look at his stats he deserves to be there [England squad] but it's down to the manager of the national team to make that decision.

"But of course for me he deserves to be there.

"He's a threat for any defence in the Premier League and he's doing well and will do even better."
