Former PSV Eindhoven and Manchester City goalkeeper Ronald Waterreus has no doubts about Per Schuurs.

The Fortuna Sittard defender has had trials with Liverpool and remains on U18 manager Steven Gerrard's shopping list.

Waterreus said: "The Fortuna team is just fine. Look at Perr Schuurs. As a seventeen-year-old, he is being watched by scouts from all over Europe.

"At that age, Schuurs is the leader of his club in everything. He's very handsome.

"It's easy to predict he plays at the top of the Eredivisie within two years."
