Watching Milan? Bologna chief Di Vaio in LA for Ibrahimovic talks

Bologna chief Marco di Vaio is in Los Angeles today speaking with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Off contract next month from LA Galaxy, Ibrahimovic plans to return to Europe in January and favours a move to Serie A.

Former club AC Milan have been regarded as favourites for the Swede's signature, however Bologna have stolen a march in the race with Di Vaio flying to the US over the weekend.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Ibra has been impressed by Bologna's efforts, though his wife favours living in Milan.

Just yesterday, Bologna chief Riccardo Bigon said: "There is only a month and a half to the opening of the transfer window. Ibrahimovic and the coach have a really strong personal relationship. He has told us that he is open to the idea of joining Bologna.

"We are fascinated by the idea of him coming to the Stadio Dall'Ara, but it is very clear that we don't control the situation. The choice is down to the player, so we wait and in case the player gives his okay, then we will be ready.

"Ibra will take his time to evaluate the offers after announcing his farewell to MLS."
