Back in 2013, David Beckham made a surprise appearance at Arsenal's training centre.

The then 37 year-old had called former Gunners manager Arsene Wenger about joining training in order to stay in shape.

Beckham was weighing up whether to pursue his career after leaving LA Galaxy and Wenger was happy to welcome the former England captain to the club.

Wenger had no problem bringing in outside players to training at the time, with ex-Arsenal stars Thierry Henry and Sol Campbell having also returned for training stints.
