WATCH! Arsenal star Giroud becomes France seventh all-time goalscorer

Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud moved up to seventh position on the all-time top goal scorers list for the French national team when he struck for his country against Belarus during a 2-1 victory on Tuesday.

Antoine Griezmann scored the other goal to wrap up 2018 World Cup qualification for Les Bleus.

Coach Didier Deschamp's made three changes to the French side calling up Giroud, Kingsley Coman and Thomas Lemar while dropping out N'Golo Kante, Kylian Mbappe and Alexandre Lacazette.

Griezmann opened the scoring in the 27th minute and contributed an assist for Giroud to score the second thanks to some poor defending from Belarus. Anton Saroka then managed to pull one back for Belarus just before half time.

After having drawn against Belarus during their opening day Group A fixture against Belarus last September, the French were lucky to have won this match and were less than convincing in terms of their performance.
