Manchester City are pushing to prise Joshua Kimmich away from Bayern Munich.
After a frustrating season under coach Carlo Ancelotti, Kimmich is edging closer to demanding a move away, says the Stuttgarter Zintung.
The wing-back has attracted enquiries from City and Barcelona in recent weeks.
And it's suggested City have the edge, thanks to the presence of former Bayern coach Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola rates Kimmich highly and has spoken openly of his admiration for the 22 year-old. The youngster feels a move to City would be the best choice for his burgeoning career.
He would arrive as Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna are allowed to come off contract at City.
