777 Partners executive Josh Wander has told Jim White of talkSPORT that he believes they will buy Everton.

The investment group are hoping to get the green light from the Premier League to finalize the takeover.

777 Partners have already lent the Goodison Park club significant funds to remain afloat.

On talkSPORT, presenter White said: “I met Josh Wander of 777 Partners the other day and he was brief but he answered me. What's the latest?"

He then played audio of Wander saying: “I can't tell them (Everton fans) anything yet, because the Premier League has suggested that we don't litigate this in public. It's prudent for us not to speak, but once the deal is approved, then I'll speak to you."

Asked if he was confident, we can then hear Wander replying: “I am."
