Walker defends Tottenham striker Soldado scoring form

Tottenham fullback Kyle Walker has defended teammate Roberto Soldado's goalscoring.

Soldado, who cost £25million from Valencia, has scored four times in the league but only one of those goals arrived from open play.

Walker told the London Evening Standard: "It's probably not falling the way he would like. He is scoring from the penalty spot but that is probably not how he would like his goals to be.

"He works hard in training and I feel his performances are going to bring goals. In training he is on fire, but it is not falling for him in the games, though it will definitely come. Roberto is a fantastic player, a Spain international, and the goals will come."
