Wales coach Chris Coleman is ready to select Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross.

The Daily Star says he will ignore the views of Aaron Ramsey when he steps up his bid to convert English-born Shawcross into a Wales international this week.

Wales skipper Ramsey was out for nine months with a double leg fracture after Stoke star Shawcross' tackle in February 2010.

The pair are yet to speak, with Arsenal ace Ramsey choosing to ignore an apology from Shawcross as he lay in hospital.
