Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott is convinced they're quickly bridging gap with today's opponents Manchester City. Walcott believes Arsenal have matured in their approach to big matches, having learned lessons from past mistakes, and insists City's home defeat by Stoke 13 days ago is evidence of their vulnerability.
"If you are not on it against anyone in the Premier League, you can be defeated, there are no easy games," he told the London Evening Standard.
"The competition is getting harder and teams are getting better - for example, Everton are getting stronger every year. Teams have caught up with City. That's why at times teams are playing them without fear and freely. That's what we need to do.
"We can't afford to lose the big games this season. If things aren't going well, much as you always want a win, sometimes a draw is not bad. It is probably the worst thing the fans could hear - they want to just hear we will go guns blazing and try to win the game.
"But in the grand scheme of things, if you think we had an opportunity to win the League and lost it by seven points, if we had picked up a few draws in those games, you never know what might have happened."
