Wagner set to snub West Brom for Young Boys; McInnes next?

David Wagner is set to snub West Brom for a move to Switzerland.

The Daily Mail says Wagner is now poised to join Swiss club Young Boys.

Wagner had moved into strong contention for the Albion role after the club's pursuit of their No.1 target Chris Wilder hit the buffers.

But Wagner, who led Huddersfield to promotion to the Championship in 2017 and kept them in the top flight the following season, is set to be announced as coach of the Swiss champions, who will compete in the Champions League next season.

Albion may now turn their attentions to former player Derek McInnes, who is currently out of work following an eight-year spell at Aberdeen, which ended in March. He also has experience of the Championship, having managed Bristol City from 2011-13.
