Voronin: Of course I'm happy at Liverpool!

Andriy Voronin has dismissed quotes attributed to him that he's unhappy with life at Liverpool.

The Ukraine striker told liverpoolfc.tv: "To begin with, I never said I don't like it here. When I first moved here I didn't find it easy because I'd lived in Germany for 12 years. I didn't know the language but I'm gradually getting there. My wife had a baby here and, thank God, everything was okay. So, I am getting more and more used to life here every day.

"We are feeling much better than six or seven months ago. When we have time we go into town. My wife likes to spend time shopping in the city. We like it here and don't have any problems with life in England or the town, except for the weather!"

Voronin was also quoted saying the foreigners at Liverpool struggle with English because of the Scouse accents of teammates Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.

"[Laughs] Stevie and Carra have Liverpudlian accents, obviously. I find it difficult to understand the Scouse accent, but that's natural I think. It is easier for me to understand the Spanish lads and the boss because they speak slower. My English has progressed quite a bit, though, and I can now communicate well with my teammates and the coach. I'm hoping that very soon my Scouse accent will start to come through."

He added: "I don't have any problems here. I would like to stay. If I do come across any problems, I know I can sort them out here. I hope my future is at Liverpool."
