Voro, who spent this season as first team coach at Valencia, will be in charge in a caretaker capacity for the remainder of this season and declared: "When I stepped forward it was because the club needed me. It's a beautiful thing to feel wanted."

Voro met with Valencia directors last night following Koeman exit and will be unveiled to the local media today. He will have access to the club's previously isolated trio - Miguel Angel Angulo, David Albelda and Santiago Canizares.
