Midfielder Steven Davis could be poised to follow Aaron Hughes in moving from Aston Villa to Fulham in a £4million-plus deal.
The Northern Ireland international has slipped down the pecking order at Villa under O'Neill and sources close to the player suggest he will be reunited with his former international boss Lawrie Sanchez at Craven Cottage.
Only 12 months ago he was voted the Villa Player Of The Year but the recruitment of Stiliyan Petrov from Celtic in August by O'Neill was the beginning of the end for Davis.
Davis still has two years left of his current contract and is planning to hold talks with O'Neill when Villa report back for pre-season training next week.
