Boca Juniors are ready to offer £10 million to bring Villarreal midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme back to Argentina.

Boca vice-president Pedro Pompilio stated that the offer will be made to Villarreal in the coming days. Meanwhile, Riquelme said: "I have two years left on my Villarreal contract, but if Boca were to sign me now, I would play the third year for nothing.

"I have already told the Boca leadership I want to return."
