Villarreal goalkeeper Diego Lopez is delighted to be sitting top of the table after their 1-0 victory over Sporting Gijon.

Lopez said: "I'm delighted with my clean sheet, because it means I have made a big contribution to this victory.

"The Spanish competition is very difficult, so to beat Sporting, even though we weren't at our best, is a big deal and means we continue to lead the table."
