Villarreal defender Diego Godin has welcomed the prospect of 'signing for life' with the Yellow Submarines.
The Uruguay international was among players highlighted by chief Jose Manuel Llaneza that he was keen to see "eventually retire with Villarreal".
Godin said: "I read the statements by the club in my country and how could I not be proud that they think so well of me.
"That the club has shown such confidence in me in that way after only two years here is very important to me. It shows that I am doing the right things with my football."
