Villarreal coach Quique Setien admits his players need to deliver performance for home fans tonight against Barcelona.

Villarreal go into the game on the back of a dismal defeat to Elche.

Setien said, “The feelings against Elche were not good. Especially in the second half. We want to forget about that game and playing against FC Barcelona motivates us a lot. We need to overcome the two consecutive defeats by getting a win and getting positive feelings."

“We are playing against an extraordinary opponent, who are in a spectacular moment. We are aware that it will be a very difficult game.

“FC Barcelona usually have more chances than their opponents. We have to secure the goal and be able to contain them. We want to be able to hurt them, let them see that we can play in the opposition half, find chances and score goals.

“I like the FC Barcelona philosophy. I admire the idea of the club and that of Xavi Hernandez. We will try to put ourselves on their level and play a good game to win it.

“FC Barcelona have the ball, but they run a lot and very well when they don't have it. They always press forward. They are active and don't retreat low, because it doesn't suit them. They have great data when they don't have the ball. They are a young team, who always press forward. They do that very well and that's why they are the team that has conceded the fewest goals in LaLiga.

“The atmosphere will be extraordinary because it will be a very attractive match. Hopefully it will be a great game. We want to enjoy the game, but we also want to win. We will need the warmth and encouragement of our fans."
