Villarreal coach Quique Setien: Almeria a difficult challenge

Villarreal coach Quique Setien expects a major test against Almeria today.

Villarreal face Almeria a week after their shock win against Barcelona.

Regarding the game, Setién said: “I expect a very difficult game because Almería are very solid at home, as they showed against FC Barcelona. They are a very reliable opponent at home and it's going to be difficult for us to hurt them. It will be a very difficult game."

Setién also announced the return of Gio Lo Celso and Nico Jackson to the matchday squad after overcoming the problems they had been carrying: “They will be in the squad and will be available to play a few minutes. We have to see how they take in the work done today and we'll see how they feel tomorrow," and he continued that the return of players like Lo Celso and Jackson, plus that of Gerard, will add a positive competitive edge to the squad that will help the team.

Villarreal will be looking to get another three points after last week's win over Getafe CF, something that Setién says was “a positive stimulus" to change the run the team was going through and adds that they must be able to keep up the good things they have maintained so far.

Finally, Setién assured that tomorrow's game is a great opportunity to build on the last win: “We need this game to maintain the boost we received the other day and if you win you'll be close to the top positions."
