Villarreal boss Manuel Pellegrini admits he has ambitions of coaching his national team, Chile.

Pellegrini is tied to Villarreal until 2010 and said: "I feel that my career is still in Europe. This is very transient and you do not know what can happen in three months, but for now my career is here.

"I have an existing contract, but I would like to someday lead the Chilean national team, give me a four-year project and I would be able to contribute something to my country."
